ElephantDrive will still work on WD devices running My Cloud OS 3.
Western Digital announced they will end support for prior generations of My Cloud OS, including My Cloud OS 3. Devices only compatible with OS 3, firmware versions starting with a number less than 5, will stop receiving critical updates from Western Digital. After April 15, 2022, devices running OS 3 will no longer receive remote access, security updates, or technical support. You can check recent My Cloud updates to learn more.
ElephantDrive recommends that all users update to My Cloud OS 5, if possible. Or, upgrade to a newer device model which can support My Cloud OS 5 or greater.
